David Bruce, RP, CCTP-II, C-PD, ADHD-CCSP, CAGCS, ASDCS, CSTIP, CSAM, has been practicing psychotherapy for thirty-years, developing expertise in various modalities of individual therapy, couple’s therapy, addiction treatment, trauma therapy, and treatment of personality disorders.
David worked as a parish minister for more than two decades before moving into the healthcare sector, working in mental health and addictions. While there, David created Ontario’s most extensive free psychotherapy clinic for clients on social assistance. David has trained and mentored many other therapists in community settings, private practice, and the Canadian Armed Forces. David is the author and co-author of seven books.
David has earned a Bachelor of Arts (University of Toronto); Master of Divinity (University of Toronto); Doctor of Ministry (Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA); Doctor of Philosophy (University of Toronto); and Master of Business Administration (Herriot Watt University, Edinburgh).
As a Registered Psychotherapist, David is qualified to provide clinical supervision to fellow psychotherapists and students pursuing professional registration. David holds many professional certifications enabling him to work effectively with highly complex clients.
David has also served as an appointed committee member with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, where he helped shape the application of professional ethics and standards.
